New Balance 1223

A high-mileage stability shoe with significant motion control attenuation, the updated 1223 is lighter than last year’s model but just as supportive. Although it has a large amount of cushioning throughout, the shoe maintains a firm feeling after heelstrike. Part of that is due to the stiff plastic arch support shank in the midsole that extends back to the medial heel and provides both midfoot rigidity and rearfoot support. A plush interior, durable foam-reinforced sockliner and deep forefoot flex grove reduce the rigidity of the ride and pave the way for a more energetic toe-off.

MSRP : US$135
Weight : 12 oz / 340 gm

Recommended for runners looking for a high mileage trainer designed to provide maximum stability and cushioning for the moderate to severe overpronator.
