The latest Hurricane incorporates Saucony's new ProGrid Cushioning system, which resembles rows of small, empty boxes in the midsole. At heel impact these boxes compress, which disperses contact forces. Saucony also sandwiched a rubber plate in the midsole to help disperse impact over a wider area. Thus givng Hurrican 9 the perfect blend of cushioning and stability for runners seeking pronation control and a plush ride.
