The GEL-Kayano XII is one of three shoes from ASICS that will feature the all-new Solyte™ midsole material. Solyte is not EVA, but a new material that is significantly lighter than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA, yet, provides improved cushioning and durability. Hidden, or not so hidden, in the new Solyte midsole is a newly designed forefoot Twist GEL® Cushioning System. This “Twist” GEL is under the ball of the foot with two irregularly shaped struts that extend laterally, and are visible through the midsole. Lastly, under the midfoot, there is a re-designed Space Trusstic™ System with new ‘V’ trusses. These ‘V’ trusses provide greater torsional support without comprising the deformation and pliability of the arch area, giving the wearer enhanced support along with a more comfortable ride.

okay, I just tried it on and suprise!!! Its absolutly no lighter than the 11s, I don't get the big deal about the new lightweight material "Solyte" Asics has been bragging about. I see more smokes!!
The 2110,Nimbus 7 andKayano 12, all are being built on a bigger last. Maybe everyone needs to go down a half size.
Ok. I got the Kayano XII's and gave them a test drive and they feel great. One problem, they are just as heavy....as before
The main difference between the kayano 10 and 11 is that : Kayano 11 is more supportive torsionally.
The brand new Kayano is almost 2 oz. lighter than the previous version ..now it is about the same weight as the 2110s. I looked at a pair at my local running shop and was really surprised at how light they felt.
Kayano really are great Shoes, great Cushion and Cushy feel is wonderful!!!! ^^
Responsive. stability seems good, but not enough cushioning. Sticking with the XI
Seem to be less cushioned than previous versions... but
the new form seem to be much more responsive...
